Rock Win Critical Game!

When you buy season tickets for the Toronto Rock, you receive four vouchers to bring guests. Today Teena and I brought our friends, Liz and Jamie. Liz and Jamie are to the right.

As usual, Scotty Newlands did an excellent job on our national anthem.

Today the Rock were taking on the Vancouver Stealth. With a 2-6 record, the Rock needed to win desperately to keep any playoff hope they have alive.

A last second psych session.

Opening faceoff.

The Toronto Rock took a quick 2-0 lead and Tim and Gillian loved it!

It was a low scoring affair as the first quarter ended with the Rock ahead 2-0. The Stealth tied the score with this goal in the second quarter.

On came the Toronto Rock Cheerleaders to fire up the crowd.

Teena and I.

Iggy worked the crowd. I usually don't really like mascots but enjoy Iggy's antics. He definitely is an asset to the organization.

The Rock were up 4-3 at the half.

Today was junior cheerleader day and about fifty of them came out to perform at half time.

Teena and Liz.

More cheerleaders.

Nick Rose (ROSIE! as the fans love to shout) was fabulous in net.

In the end, the Rock won 9-6. It was a low scoring affair but a very exciting game.

Nick Rose was the first star, of course, making 46 saves in the game, many of them outstanding!

The Rock are off until Good Friday when they play the Saskatchewan Swarm at 7 pm. Teena and I will be there!
