KC's Tree, Fall 2016

This afternoon Teena and I went for a long walk which took us by KC's tree in Trinity Bellwoods Park. Teena was there two weeks ago on October 8 and the tree had not even started to turn. Today it was in all its fall splendor.

When we first arrived at the park, there was a group of people gathered taking pictures. Wondering what was going on, we went over to find a rare white squirrel of the park bounding about looking for food to store for the winter.

The park is quite beautiful this time of year.

Of course, the star of the show for us is KC's tree.

Our dog, KC, passed away in 2011 and that same year Teena had a tree planted in her memory.

Today the tree was all crimson. Here are Teena and I with the tree.

Very colourful.

I'm glad we made it to the park today. It was bright and sunny and I think KC's tree had reached its peak of colour.

People Enjoying KC's Tree

Teena and I were heading over to the Taste of Little Italy and made a detour to see how KC's tree was doing. It was nice to see people relaxing under the tree, which looks very healthy. This happy fella here is enjoying the cool shade from the tree.

The tree was planted in October 2011, as a tribute to our dog, KC, who passed away the spring at the age of 16. Nice to see it so healthy and being enjoyed by others.

Spring Leaves on KC's Tree

I went to see The Nice Guys this afternoon (great funny movie) and on my walk home I stopped in to see KC's tree. It was May 6 when I was last there and the buds were out.

It's a gorgeous day and the park was jammed.

The leaves on KC's tree are full and healthy.

On the way out I took a picture of this on top of a Queen Street building by the park. Many will not know what it is but it is an air raid siren that would have been installed in the late fifties/early sixties, around the city during the cold war.

It was great to see KC's tree so healthy and people around it enjoying its shade.

The Buds on KC's Tree

I was on my way to a concert tonight and passed by KC's tree. Of course, I had to take some pictures.

The tree is quite different from the last time I saw it last fall.

But the buds are there.

I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom!

The Burnt Orange Colours of KC's Tree

Last week, Teena and I headed over to Trinity Bellwoods Park to see how much the leaves on KC's tree had changed. Teena had the tree planted shortly after our dog and pal, KC, passed away in 2011. The were turning but a far way off. This morning on Trinity Bellwoods Park Twitter page, Teena saw they had posted a picture of KC's tree. It was almost exactly like the above shot.

We just had to go over and see. Here are the pictures.

It was great seeing KC's tree so bright, healthy and beautiful.

The Turning Fall Colours of KC's Tree

It has almost been a year since I was last over in Trinity Bellwoods Park to see how KC's tree was doing. It's on the left at the edge of the fallen leaves.

KC was a great dog who lived to be 16 years old before passing away in 2011. Teena went out right away and had a tree planted in KC's honour in the park.

The colours are changing and the tree is doing fine.

I'll have to drop back in a week when the tree has fully changed.

KC's Colourful Tree

Our dog, KC, passed away back in 2011. Teena went out soon after and paid for a tree to be planted in her honour in Trinity Bellwoods Park, one of KC's favorite places. The tree was planted in the fall of 2011 along with a great plaque.

On the way home from work tonight I stopped in and checked on the tree. Two weeks ago I came over and took pictures as it was starting to turn. Now it's wearing it's full fall colours. It's a healthy tree, one that I think KC would love to sniff then leave her mark on.

Colours Turning on KC's Tree

Our dog, KC, passed away back in 2011. Teena went out soon after and paid for a tree to be planted in her honour in Trinity Bellwoods Park, one of KC's favorite places. The tree was planted in the fall of 2011 along with a great plaque.

I was there after work today and saw that the leaves are just starting to turn.

Soon it will catch up to the colourful tree to the south of it.

I'm looking forward to heading over in a couple of weeks when it is full of fall colour.
