Tonight Teena and I went to the Summer Craft Beer Fest in Liberty Village. One of the great features of this is not only the great craft beer but that it is only a ten minute walk away from our place!
The event started at 5pm and we arrived around 6pm. Great time to arrive as there still was not a lot of people there.
Twenty-five breweries were there. Tickets were $1 for a four ounce pour. That gave me a great opportunity to try a few new beers and some old favorites.
I really love the Junction Brewery Conductors Ale and started with a Brakeman's Session Ale. It was a great choice.
There were two duos playing music, one in the outside area and the other in the covered alley. They added great background and were never overpowering which I thought was good.
Here are some other beers that I had. I never had a bad beer but at times followed a heavy hoppy beer with a less hoppy choice, which is so wrong.
I just did a Beer of the Week on Nickle Brook Brewery. Tonight gave me a chance to try a different beer from them, Naughty Neighbor, an American Pale Ale. I would buy it for my fridge.
The Hog Town Brewery had a great IPA. I had it with a burrito and it really stood up to it. A perfect food/beer pairing1
I love Granite Brewery's Peculiar and a couple of these.
I enjoyed a Creemore Springs Hops and Bolts.
I love Hops and Robbers from Double Trouble and finished my night with that. I had a Fire in the Rye Pale Ale before and it was nice and hoppy.
If Amsterdam is there, I will have a Boneshaker IPA!
I had a nice Tailgate from Grand River Brewery.
Beau's had a nice Saison.

The crowd grew as the night went on. It was busy but never crowded.

Teena and I bumped into Lucy who used to work for Mill Street Brewery but now is into education.
A couple of more samples. First Oaust House in Niagara on the Lake and their County Ale plus an Indian White Ale from Spearhead. Both were quite enjoyable.
Clinton was a volunteer and is studying for a marketing degree. We met him at CraveTO where he was also volunteering.
It was a fabulous night and we will definitely be back next year!
