Teena, I and our friend, Trish, went to see Red 2. I loved the original Red and was looking forward to this, hoping it could keep the pace, action, and humour of the first.
The retired black-ops CIA agent Frank
Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest
to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they'll
need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and
power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the
next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to
Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their
cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they
try to save the world and stay alive in the process.
It didn't take long for the action and story to start. Frank and Sarah are retired and living the boring suburban life. Sarah wants to get back into some action and it isn't long until they are in the thick of it.
Red 2 is a fast paced movie and, yes, it is filled with action and humour but not as much as the first. It would be almost impossible to match Red, but they do make a valiant effort.
I give it a 6 out of 10 and is worth seeing on the big screen.
