Ken, my son, and I went to see The Town today. The Town had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and I had read many good things about it. I was hoping it would live up to all the reviews and it did.
The Town had a very clever plot, great action, was well directed and acted. I'm not one to give away a plot but will say the movie held me for all two hours and I could not predict the end. Ken and I both really enjoyed it and it gave us much to discuss after. I gave it an 8 out of 10. It is a movie that I would recommend seeing in the theater.
It had another interesting dimension for me too as I was in Boston on Labour day weekend. The movie takes place mostly in Charlestown, which is a neighborhood in Boston. I walked through part of it on my way to see the USS Constitution and recognized a few of the places.
If you like heist movies, this is definitely one to see.
