The 12 Beers of Summer Beer Festival

Tonight Teena and I were at the 12 Beers of Summer event at the Gladstone Hotel, which conveniently is in our neighborhood. We missed the 12 Beers of Christmas, held last Christmas and looked forward to tonight.

It was fabulous!

We arrived early and had free run of the place, but even after it was full, the place never felt crowded, likely because it was spread between three rooms.

There were lots of breweries there and not many lineups.

I started with a Hopsta la Vista beer from Longslice Brewery.

Then a Kronenbourg 1664.

I love Junction Brewery and had more than one of their Conductors Pale Ale.

Beau's had a beer with Hibiscus. It was nice.

My favorite of the night was from Big Rig Brewery, an Exclaim Coffee IPA. Yes, it has real coffee brewed in it and was wonderful!

I always enjoy a Steam Whistle Pilsner.

I enjoyed this lager from Sweetgrass Brewery.

I enjoyed the music. Common Deer were so good that I believe now that every rock band should have a fiddle in it.

I had a bratwurst which was OK but had something wonderfully different ... battered cheese curds. They were great! I thought I could do this at home but cheese curds are so good they never make it home!

Jazz Money were playing in another room. So good, we danced!

It was a fun night and I have no idea why we missed the Christmas event but can't see us missing another there.
