Once again at lunch, I wandered over to Nathan Phillips Square outside of Toronto City Hall to watch
The High Bar Gang in concert.
The High Bar Gang is a Canadian bluegrass band, based in Vancouver. The band has been popular in their home province of British Columbia selling out many of their shows, and were asked to open for Blue Rodeo when they played in Vancouver.
I enjoyed their style. They announced they were going to play a Johnny Cash song and then explained that their first album was bluegrass gospel but their next one will be all hurting and cheating. That got a good laugh and yes, they covered I Still Miss Someone very well.
This is their first time in Toronto and if you like bluegrass and have a chance to see them, go!
