The Langlade, Miquelon Isthmus

This the 13 kilometer isthmus which connects Langlade with Miquelon. Five hundred shipwrecks in this area helped to collect sand to create the dunes and flats which connect the two islands. The shores are full of starfish and seas shells.
Teena and I enjoyed the stop by the ocean.
The dunes of the isthmus.
There are horses everywhere in Saint Pierre et Miquelon. We came across some running free. Our driver had some food for them.
The isthmus took us to the the island of Miquelon and the the permanent town that resides there.
