On of my favorite shows in the late 50s was an action/drama, likely a bad one if I saw it today but I loved it then, called the Whirlybirds.
I just loved and dreamed of going up in one. It seemed so expensive for such a short period of time
Today as we did our walk through Ontario Place, Teena thought it would be a great idea to go up. There is a 10 minute flight around the city from Ontario Place by National Helicopters and, next thing I knew, this dream was becoming a reality.
Did I enjoy it? Sure did and it will not be my last flight. It is so different and so worth it. Sandra was a great pilot, she actually spends most of her time as a flight instructor, and it was fun to listen in on all the flight chatter on the radio. Thanks so much, Teena! You have no idea how much I have wanted to do this.
The rest of this will just be more of a photo journal. Teena's shots are here.
Ready to go!The row of roofs on the right side of the tracks is where we live. I always get a childish kick out of seeing our home from the air.
That's awesome Gord! I'm so happy you got to do that. I could feel the excitement you felt just reading your blog. :)
It was fun :)
