When you are there, you are in France! The currency is the Euro, the electricity is on the European system, so take an adapter and very few people speak English.
We stayed at the Nuit Saint Pierre which is very nice and we were treated great. Our rooms were great, the breakfast was excellent with farm fresh egg, crepes, fresh croissants and fresh brewed coffee. I would highly recommend it!
If you are planning to go to Newfoundland, this is a very worthwhile side trip. I would recommend a day touring Saint Pierre, and a day taking the zodiac up to Langlade and Miquelon. Two days were perfect for me.
I am so glad we made this side trip. It was well worth it!
