Friends

Tonight Kevin, Alfred, Craig and I got together for dinner at the Goose and Firkin. For years we used to meet every Wednesday night for dinner, then racquetball. It was almost without fail.

I tore my rotator cuff to end my racquetball games and a variety of knee injuries and back pain for everyone else ended the games entirely.

Now we just meet for supper.

It used to be every week but since I became very happily married and living downtown, I have found it increasingly difficult to get uptown to see everyone. Traffic, to say the least, is brutal. It takes over an hour to meet at The Goose and Firkin on Don Mills in North York and just 20 minutes to get home.

The food is OK and the regular selection of Molson products and a couple of everyday international beers are on tap. Really just a convenient place to meet.

Needless to say, I don't get up there too often, but tonight, here we are!
