Tonight was the award banquet for today's Foil and Sabre competition.It was held in the Atrium of the Bio Science building on Queens campus and was a very nice setting. The food was excellent, starting with appetizers, then on to salad and an excellent chicken with a mango sauce, potatoes and mixed vegetables. Yes, I ate it all. I'm not sure what to call dessert but it was chocolate and was excellent. I am still full.
Then came the medals. Above is Rod on the left who won Gold in the 50-59 age group, Vincent P who took Silver and me with my Bronze. Here is a close up of my medal.
The Atrium was a great spot for the banquet.
Alex from my club, Bladeworks, second from the left took Silver in Men's 60-69 Foil and Gaby, second from the right took Bronze.
It was an enjoyable night!
Looks like a lovely place to have the banquet. Supper sounds good.
